It is from a recording studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota called AnalogElectric, run by a fellow named Adam Lazlo Rutkowski.  The studio looks lovely.  A nice D & R Orion console, a Otari MTR90 2” and Nuendo.  What else could you want?

The blog is really good and informative.  Lots of technical info (microphones, miking positions, gear used, etc) and inner thoughts on the way he works.  It is also frequently updated.

I listen to a few of the bands he has listed as clients (the Breeders, Buck 65, Low, and Pedro the Lion) and dig the sounds he is getting.

On a side note, I’d like to find a Canadian recording studio’s blog.  So please, if you have one and are reading this please drop me a line.
